DEPOSIT

If you book your trip far in advance, your deposit (typically $500-1,000 per traveler) is the amount you pay when you place your order/booking on our website, and will be applied towards the total cost of your package. Please be aware that none of our packages include international airfare to/from Ecuador as noted on our itineraries. When you place an order online, you will receive an automatic receipt for your deposit (or payment in full). If you haven’t, please let us know and we will resend it. If your tour starts in less than 90 days (or 120 days if you booked a chartered group tour), you will be required to pay 100% of your total cost upfront.

PAYMENT BALANCE

If you weren’t required to pay in full upon booking, your total balance is due 90 days prior to your departure date (or 120 days if you booked a chartered group tour). A few days before that deadline, you will receive an invoice that reflects the total price of the package minus the amount of the deposit you paid, plus any additional charge for airfare or additional nights, tour add-ons, or upgrades you’ve requested or chosen, plus any applicable taxes. The invoice will come via Stripe Payments; at that point you’ll have the option to pay with the credit card we have on file from your security deposit, or choose a new payment method.

If we’ve provided a payment plan option for the tour you selected, you will have to pay an installment every month until your total balance deadline. The payment plan system that we use through WeTravel® will not automatically charge your credit card, so you will have to make each payment yourself online every month; however, you will receive an email reminder as each month’s payment day approaches. If you skip a payment, it will be overdue by your next payment’s due date in addition to the current month’s installment. The entirety of the installments need to be paid by your balance deadline.

If your credit card is declined for any payment, we will reach out to you immediately to rectify the situation. If 7 business days go by without resolution, your reservation may be cancelled and all payments up to that point forfeited.

SINGLE SUPPLEMENT

Most of our packages are priced based on double occupancy (2 travelers per room/cabin/tour). If you’re a solo traveler, please be aware that there will be a single supplement charge applied to your total cost, which is typically at least 50% of the double occupancy cost. If you want to avoid this charge, we suggest you find another traveler to share your accommodations with, or ask us to contact you with other solo travelers that might also be interested in sharing, if any.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

For bookings made over 1 year in advance, or for itineraries that are not yet advertised on our website, Ecuador Pride Travel, LLC reserves the right to alter the price to adjust for Ecuador’s annual inflation and/or providers’ price changes before the rest of your payment is due.

Ecuador Pride Travel, LLC reserves the right to impose a supplemental charge relating to unanticipated occurrences including, but not limited to, increases in the price of air/ground transportation or fuel surcharges, or currency exchange changes. Any such supplement charges shall apply to both existing and new bookings (regardless of whether such bookings have been paid in full).

ITINERARY CHANGES

Ecuador Pride Travel, LLC reserves the right to alter itineraries as needed, at any time, and with no previous notice due to hotel/restaurant/transportation availability, weather, temporary maintenance closings, local holidays, pandemic restrictions, inability to access specific islands, natural disasters, any form of civil unrest, etc. We will always try to replace or reschedule the accommodation or activity so your overall experience isn’t affected.

date CHANGES

The deposit you paid can be applied to any of our packages and/or departure dates as long as the exchange happens at least 90 days prior to your original scheduled departure date (or 120 days if you booked a chartered group tour). Please email us your change request as soon as you decide on a different package and/or departure date so we can make the required adjustments and you can get a successful change confirmation back from us.

We are not able to accommodate date changes requested within 90 or less days prior to your scheduled departure (or 120 days if you booked a chartered group tour). If you cannot travel, you will forfeit your deposit and any other amounts you’ve paid until the date of your request per our cancelation policy below.

CANCELATION POLICY

We understand that life happens and plans change. The closer we get to your departure date, the more expenses we have pre-paid for your trip to service providers. Bookings that are cancelled by travelers are subject to the following cancellation amounts depending on how close the cancellation happens in relation to the departure date. The cancellation amount will be deducted from the refund due to the traveler according to the following schedule. For example, if traveler cancels their booking 75 days prior to departure, we will refund 50% of the reservation total and keep the cancellation amount of 50%.

FORCE MAJEURE

If for any unforseen reason we cannot longer offer the tour or departure date you chose when you made the booking, we will let you know immediately and provide you alternative dates or tours for you to choose. If none of those work for you, we will refund 100% of your deposit.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We can't stress enough the importance of travel insurance in the day and age we’re living. We have teamed up with Dan Howell Travel to offer you insurance through Travel Insured International®. For information on their policies (including “cancel-for-any-reason” coverage), please click on the following link https://www.travelinsured.com/plans

If you are interested in taking out a policy please e-mail us with the name of the policy of your choice, your legal names, dates of birth and e-mail address and how much you will pay for the entire trip. When estimating your trip cost please add the cost of your package, your international airfare and any other additional expenses such as pre- and post- hotels. Once we receive this information we will send you a quote and the insurance can be taken out directly online at the link we will provide you.

PHOTOGRAPHY RELEASE WAIVER

Travelers acknowledge that Ecuador Pride Travel, LLC has the irrevocable right to use video recording or photography of any kind which have been produced during any of our tours to Ecuador, for its own purposes. By participating in these tours, travelers grant Ecuador Pride Travel, LLC a royalty-free license to take photographs, video, and other images of travelers throughout the trip, and to use such images and recordings for any reason whatsoever without compensation to the traveler.

MODIFICATION OF OUR TERMS & CONDITIONS

Our Terms and Conditions may be amended or modified by us at any time, without notice, on the understanding that such changes will not apply to trips booked prior to the amendment or modification. It is therefore essential that you consult and accept our Terms and Conditions at the time of making a booking, particularly in order to determine which provisions are in operation at that time in case they have changed since the last time you reviewed our Terms and Conditions.
